La Passeggiata & the NEW La Cucina culinary tours!

What do Central Pennsylvania and Italy have in common?

David and Rynn Caputo.

The Caputos developed cheeses reminiscent of those they fell in love with while traveling and studying in Italy over the course of several years—and now they are giving you the opportunity to join them for an Italian culinary experience of a lifetime.

Years of travel through all 20 regions of Italy have allowed the Caputos to design a culinary stroll that will take even the most inexperienced traveler comfortably “off the beaten path.” Living like a local is what this adventure is all about. Each trip is designed for travelers to experience the cultural traditions through cuisine.

Caputo Brothers Creamery hosts multiple trips per year.  Tours offered in the spring will explore Calabria and Sicily, the summer tour covers Puglia, Basilicata and the Sorrentine Peninsula, and trips taken in the fall focus on Northern Italy.

Due to the small size of the touring group, each person will have the ability to spend time exploring their own curiosities and finding a path to travel suited to special interests and desires.

For more information on how you can get ‘cultured’ with the Caputos, please email travel@caputobrotherscreamery.com or call 717-850-6045.  Please fill out this Tour Registration Form to send in with your deposit.

Your week in a Puglia will be filled with excursions to the nearby seaside, olive groves, wineries and towns, while also learning the culinary specialities of the region through hands-on experiences at our masseria! July 3-9, 2017. La Cucina: Puglia is sold out!

“There are so many tours that do the tourist thing but these trips are a one of a kind find if you want to meet the Italian people and real Italian food as well as see the out of the way places in Italy. The attention to detail and concern ...
“The overall goal of the trip, focusing on everyday life in Italy off the tourist track, and the family-sized group appealed to me most.”
“Beyond my expectations…loved being in parts of Italy that were not crowded with tourists. Trip met the description “off the beaten path.” Rynn, David and Kyle did a fantastic job choosing: the locations, the accommodations, planning excursions to give us a variety of experiences, the chefs who were incredible with ...
“It was the trip of a lifetime.”
“I would go on any trip the Caputos do. They make you feel like family. Love the non-tourist places we went to. I really like meeting the craftsmen and seeing their passion for what they do.”
“Everyone who travels should get a chance to be off the beaten track and away from the usual tourist spots…seeing how the locals live was wonderful.”
“Even though I have traveled to Italy many times, I never experienced the in-depth look at the culture, the land, the food, the history of Italy. I think that’s what made this trip so outstanding and gave me a greater appreciation of the Italians’ love of the land and what ...
