Cooking Class: Focaccia & Risotto – Saturday, March 23, 2019 9:00a.m.
Focaccia is the popular flat, dimpled, oven-baked Italian bread, often topped simply with salt and herbs, or with more robust toppings such as vegetables or meats. The toppings and even the shape can vary by region in Italy, and makes a great meal or on-the-go snack! You will get to create your own personal focaccia, and since we’ll need something to do while we wait for the dough to rise…we’ll make and enjoy some Risotto (and maybe stretch a little mozzarella!)! Creamy risotto is an amazing comfort dish, while also being one of the most versatile Italian foods. Few people have experienced it prepared properly, and many are intimidated by the prospect of making it at home.
In this class you’ll learn the ins and outs of both of these Italian specialities. By the end, you’ll be able to perfect both in your home kitchen, and you’ll go home with all of the recipes and your own Focaccia!!
