Roman Empire Dinner Series II: Romania – Friday, April 5, 2019, 6:00p.m.
Our newest dining series, “The Roman Empire,” explores the cuisine of six modern-day countries that were once part of Ancient Rome’s rule. We look forward to taking a trip around the world with you!
For the second installment in this dinner series, we visit Romania! The country’s name derives from Latin, meaning “citizen of Rome,” and those citizens had to eat!! A cuisine rich in flavor and diverse in its influences, we will explore cheese, soups, sausages, stuffed vegetables, tender pastry and more. Polenta is a staple of northern Italian cuisine, but did you know that Romania boasts a similar claim? And how often can you claim that you’ve tried Romanian cuisine in Spring Grove PA?!
Join us! We’ll keep some garlic on hand in case Dracula stops by…
